The third thing is he wants to feel needed. All throughtout the story it seemed like people just didn’t need him as much as he needed them. He needs Cal, his only friend, and Kyra. It doesn’t seem like they need him though. Cal’s got his jock buddies at school, even if they don’t rave about comic books like he does. Kyra was the only one who really needed him (until he messed things up) and from the way he reacted, the way he didn’t need his bullet anymore when he was with her, showed that’s all he wanted.
