Bendis… Even in New Jersey

NJ.com picked New Avengers #22, which featured Luke Cage, as the Best Single Issue of 2006. It’s been clear for a long time that the mighty BMB had a soft spot for the tough-skinned guy (Alias, The Pulse, Daredevil, you name it), so it’s no surprise to me that he really nailed it in this issue.
